Comments on: What Are High and Low Gears on a Car

You say “ Driving in slippery, icy or muddy conditions as the lower gear provides greater control of the vehicle”, but advice elsewhere (eg. the uk Met Office’s article on Driving Safely on Ice) recommend the opposite. They recommend using a higher gear than usual. I wonder if you have made a mistake?
